
Have you ever considered working with a life coach, mindset coach, confidence coach, or career coach? People understand what I'm talking about when I tell them I'm a therapist, but what is coaching?
Spending time working 1:1 with a coach can be very powerful in helping you identify and work towards your personal or professional goals.
Whether you want to improve your mindset, boost your confidence, or make moves towards the enxt step of your career, coaching can provide the support and guidance to help you get there.
All of my work follows the same pattern:
• Clarify your goal
• Make an action plan to get there (including overcoming any obstacles)
• Support you in executing that action plan
The work involved in the action plan is varied - we might get through all three stages in a single session, or it might take longer. Examples of what might be included are:
🌟 Overcome Limiting Beliefs Identifying those mental blocks that are getting in your way (for example, 'I'm never going to be able to earn lots of money' or 'I'm not good enough for...') and rewriting them so that you are left feeling empowered and can move forward.
🌟 Adopt a Positive Mindset Learn to shift your perspective and develop a more optimistic outlook on life, no matter the challenges.
🌟 Set Healthy Boundaries Coaching can teach you how to set boundaries that protect your time, energy, and well-being - this is something that comes up time and time again in my work and I'm extremely passionate about!
🌟 Gain Fresh Ideas and Insights It can be helpful to get another opinion or perspective on your situation - this might open doors to opportunities you may not have considered.
🌟 Build Confidence Boost your self-esteem and confidence with practical strategies and exercises to reframe that negative voice in your head - I am particularly experienced in this after through my work as a therapist.
🌟 Enhance Your Career Have a space to really talk about what's going on at work - what you like/don't like and maybe complete a career audit, then work out your next steps to switch industries, get a promotion, or improve your work-life balance.
🌟 Improve Communication Skills Work on effective communication in personal and professional settings, strengthening relationships and connections.
🌟 Have a Supportive Ally With a coach, you’ll always have someone in your corner—encouraging, supporting, and helping you stay motivated. The final part of the plan, being supported in executing the action plan, is what sets coaching apart from doing this stuff yourself.
